Where I actually write

For those people who might someday stumble upon this Live Journal, you should know it has been more or less abandoned. That being said, I still write regularly on blogger.

You can read all about everything here: http://blog.probonogeek.org.

Moives in Review

Time to make my thoughts about a few movies known unto the world

The Day After Tomorrow:

While somewhat light on hard-science, I recommend this movie to anyone who has a twinge of environmentalism in 'em and have a dislike for the current Administration. There are some great lines delivered by the movie's Vice President. At one point, some earth shattering news is delivered to the President Bush... um, I mean... oh, I don't know what his name was... but they deliver the bad news and the President looks to the VP and says, "what should be do?" It was a good poke, and the Ballard audience was quite receptive. But like I said, the movie does a good job of paint a worst case scenario in a hope to raise awareness. Reminds me a lot of the movie "The Day After" which was movie about the threat of nuclear war. If you are familiar with the film, you'll notice a lot of similarities between it at The Day After Tomorrow.

Shrek 2:

Great film! Highly recommended if you at all enjoyed the first one. This time around they've added a great new character played by Antonio Banderas. Between the cute jokes for the kids and more advanced humor for the adults, it does a great job balancing the needs of every audience. And, best of all, they sing "Holding Out For A Hero" which was a great song and should be sung at every opportunity.

First Post

Not nearly as exciting when you're the only one who can actually post. I've always stayed away from Live Journal because I like to create my own blog system and just post on that. However, for one reason or another it goes down (usually a hardware issue) which results in a lack of posting for several days / weeks... and once you're out of that habit you just kinda stop posting.

So, the hope is that by placing the hardware issues on my good friends at Live Journal, I won't have such issues and can concentrate on getting the posting done! Let's hope for the best.
